Wk7 done, completed with blisters and Compeed patches! Still can't believe that on my next run Wk8 commences.........

I've been trying to run every other day to complete the program. I still can't believe the huffing and puffing that I was doing on Wk1 and five weeks later I'm going to be on the last couple of weeks. My mental attitude not my extra body weight which I have been carrying has got me through. Just goes to show you can do it if you really want to. Good luck running buddies x

If you're getting blisters maybe your shoes need to be chucked out. When you graduate your first stop could be the running shop, gait analysis and lovely new running shoes. That would be the perfect gift graduation gift to yourself

Meanwhile, Vaseline is very good for avoiding blisters as are good running socks. I have some Karrimor ones (marathon socks) and I've been fine with those

Hey that's a good idea! I'm pretty determined that I will get to the end of this program. A new pair of trainers may not be a bad idea. I do wear the proper running socks so let's hope these sore things/blisters do not hang round for to long :-/

Thanks for your posting, it is only determination that gets me through every run! Be nice at some point to go out and relax while running instead of worrying about whether I can complete it!

Awesome work Milan!!!!! You've obviously got the grit (and the running bug) to get you through to graduation! Well done! :)

Well done on finishing W7R3 - I'm doing mine tomorrow.

For the last few days I've been in Cornwall so instead of my normal flat route I've been contending with heat, hills and an electric fence!

Best of luck with your run. Perhaps you need to consider your route before going but it must be a sensational place for views. Good luck :-)
