Just run my 1st 5k ! Feeling awesome ! 11 weeks ago I couldnt run a step, but I got there. What an amazing atmosphere, cant wait for my next one ! So lovely the support I had from family, 2 sisters travelling from Devon, one ran with a newly mended broken toe and the other hasnt been running much more then 7 weeks, amazing effort. My lovely daughter daughter in law and grand daughter, chose to walk it ( Alice is only 4 ) but bless her, she ran every step of the way, or rather danced hopped, starjumped and ran her way thru. Thanks also to all those who supported me by sponsorship, friends from my home town Torrington ( these people havent seen me in probably 30 years, but came up trumps ) my American family, still there for Bri and I despite us leaving USA 3 years ago, sorry guys has to be said, I miss you guys but no regrets all my cyber friends on C25K and the HU site, without these 2 sites I would probably have quit, ( special thanks to Kathryn Booth a cyber friend (want2run2) who run same time as me in support and of course my family who pledged so generously. I'd like to say I am sorry I harrassed you all but I'm not, it resulted in almost £750 and still counting and as a family we raided around £1500
I did it .... my 1st 5k: Just run my 1st 5k... - Couch to 5K
I did it .... my 1st 5k
Well done on your first 5k, the first of many by the sound of it.....

Yay GJ ! Massive well done to you and your family, sounds like you had an amazing time ! Congratulations to you, sounds like youre on Cloud 9 ! Glad you enjoyed it , it is an amazing day isn't it ? xxx
I got one complaint, as we got to the last few metres, and we could hear the crowd, the end was definately near, just around the corner, and what was there, a bloody hill that's what ! How rude is that, feel like putting in a complaint, Health and Safety and all that !!!
When I did the Color Run in May I and a lot of other runners were put off because it was advertised as a flat, paved course. What we got was a grass course on a profession cross country course ...all uphill & downhill.
I did complain to the organization and they gave me a voucher for another Color Run at no cost to me. Sometimes it pays to complain.
Fantastic GJ, well done! Sounds like a great run with your family and all that money raised too! X
