It's done week 5 run 3 and I'm over the moon with this, for me at least a major mile stone! I wasn't sure about this one. I did feel apprehensive but went for it! ;-)) & I DID IT!! One thing I did realise is just how much of running is a mental as well as physical thing. I feel I've not only improved physically but after today mentally as well. I seam to be able to recover quicker than I ever thought possible. So much so that after my five minuet walk at the end I skipped back to w5r2 a did an 8 minuet run. After all I felt really good and felt I was able! I got to my end point & did a few errands I had to get done then meat the girl friend and got a ride home! I mean I'm not an idiot!! Once again big thanks to all you guys for the support encourage and advise!! All adds up to a very happy me ;-)

Well done John ! Yep, it is a major milestone in the programme and its good to know you completed it. You are so right about the mental aspect too, its good to tell those demons screaming at you to stop, where to go :-) Well, John onwards and upwards to Week 6 now, all the best and keep posting :-) xxx

Whey hey! Brilliant job. You sound chuffed to bits, deservedly so. I agree about running being a mental challenge too. When I get the little gremlins in my head I just tell them to shut up! Enjoy the rest of your journey.

Haha yeah I had to tell em a few times i must admit! 5 weeks ago I'd have laughed if you had said you'll be running for 20 minutes none stop! ;-)

Fantastic, well done and it's nice to see a runner who's local to me as I live (and run!) in Urmston. I believe the Winston runners meet up near to you, might be worth googling............ :)
