Just back from fantastic time at Junior Park run at helix park . 4yr old grandson was here with wee sister for sleepover last night so thought it would be perfect for him to do his first ever run. He was amazing and so excited with his barcode and the whole event. I kept saying now let's not go to fast at start in case you get too tired but in actual fact it was because I couldn't keep up with him! He loved it. I loved it . I was by far oldest runner yea Thanks to all volunteers who made it happen . Oh and by the way I ran my fastest 2 k ever.
Junior park runs rock! : Just back from... - Couch to 5K
Junior park runs rock!
Well done! To both of you! It is great seeing kids getting so into the Parkruns; I had a lad of about twelve run alongside me for a short while at a Parkrun yesterday, and we were chatting for a bit. He was really enjoying it, as were the others I saw. I love the community feel of it and how people of all ages and abilities get on and encourage one another.
Well done on your fastest 2K!
I love hearing about people running with their little ones! WELL DONE! Long may it continue!
Well Beek Alex is oldest of our 5 grandsons and as youngest isn't even walking yet it's a good incentive for me to keep on running Hopefully it'll be Fit for 65, 70 .....
A beautiful incentive for you! We are getting a little Grandson in October so I may be catching you up in a few years! (67 next week so it will be mid 70's for me)
How amazing, and what a wonderful post to share, thank you. Sounds like you both had a lot of fun.
I love my sat park run Tanya but this was like a breathe of fresh air Route was round a pond in lovely new park and after the warm up at start they just all took off to start line Hardly had time to get my fleece off So enthusiastic I keep thinking if I hadn't found c25kers I would have missed out on so many wonderful memories and experiences
Brilliant!!
