Wow! Only one left. I'm so excited. Today wasn't an easy run, but manageable. It was hot and windy but at least the wind cooled me down a bit. I lost my tissue somewhere along the way and I was so hot I took my t shirt off, used it as a tissue ... gross I know, but what could I do? (I did have a crop top underneath!)
Two attractive male cyclists came the other way and gave me nice 'hello's' and smiles, at which point I was probably as red as a beetroot and puffing after a slow hill. All these little things help.
I'm a bit worried about 9/3 because I'm doing a fun run for it and the only other time I've run with other people (a Parkrun), I found it kind of put me off my pace with so many other paces going on around me if that makes any sense. Anyone got any tips on that?

My goodness, if I'd taken my t-shirt off the cyclists would have turned round and pedalled off in the opposite direction!! Very best of luck for your graduation run. All I can suggest is to have your music turned up quite loud so it blots out everyone else. Other than that, blinkers maybe?? Lol good luck
Ha ha we just don't care when we're hot & bothered . I'd have had the same reaction. as ancient mum too . Just stick to your own pace & don't let others bother you. . You will do great . Good luck
Wow, well done, I admire you. Try and have lots of water not just before the run obviously may be the day before to stay hydrated. I’m coming there tomorrow WK 9/2, it feels good to see someone who has just finished. I have the same problem with the heat here in Oman except here today is about 46 degrees centigrade, early morning before sun rise it is about 32. Good luck and don’t forget your water tomorrow otherwise you will get male cyclists coming along again. Ha ha ha ha
