Great time at park run this morning
Excellent!! What a lovely post. Hope to do a park run with my daughter one day
Thanks ancient mum Emma used to run but not since having her 2 children Secretly I was quite chuffed she got back into it through c25k. She has been really supportive lending me her running clothes and telling her friends if her mum can do the c25 k prog then anyone can - but she means it in a really nice way. She only mentioned yesterday that she was thinking of doing Parkrun this morning so it was nice surprise.
That's great fitfor60 , running at park run with your daughter . Glad you enjoyed it
So right kitty kat
Thanks - appreciated the hug!
I think I saw the two of you crossing the line but missed you in the bar code queue. i thought it seemed a bit quieter but there were 488 on the list. I notice there was one other C25ker (Suzanne Waterer) in the Edinburgh results but I don't know her, do you?
Aw. That's what it's all about. What a lovely event, and to share with your daughter. x
Running with the next generation is great. Especially when they wait at the finish line and cheer you over it!
Well this was Emma's first time so I ran slower to keep her company She kept saying to go ahead but being a supportive mum I said no it's absolutely fine darling . That's cos I couldn't have run any faster I was 3 mins slower than PB but felt like one of my best runs
Hi Fitfor60.
Great to hear your post from Sat. What an awful east wind on the initial stretch on Sat but still warm - amazing for Edinburgh! I wear a grey short sleeve top and have a very red face at the end of the run- also a green garmin watch could identify me! How did your 5k around Arthur's Sear go? SW.
It was windy SW but at least there was no rain or hail in it. I'm planning to do park run this sat so will look out for you to say hello if you not rushing off at end. Arthur seat was hard but great -36.13 -very anxious at start but ok on run Think having so many at park run prepared me as wasn't really aware of other runners But that hill on way up - phew
