Couch to 5K


I am not quite at W5 yet and scheduled to do W5R3 the day before I go on holiday for 2 weeks - if I'm not able to complete R3 would it be better to do the full of W5 again or just try to do R3 again - Planning to take my running shoes with me on holiday but can't see me running in 35 degree heat!!!!!!!! If I was to run on the treadmill is this an easier option or is it just the same as road running??

I can't say about treadmill running as I've always run outside. But I've read that people find it easier physically but harder mentally , I guess because time slows down on a treadmill (!)

Don't worry too much about W5R3 . I'm sure you'll be able to do it. And how fab to achieve it just before a hol. But if you don't run on hol, see how you feel and maybe do all Week 5 again.., can't do any harm. Just extra training. Good luck. Enjoy :)


I've done both and there are pros and cons.But for me if it's treadmill or nothing I would treadmill.Also you could repeat run 2 while on holiday to keep your momentum going and then pick up when you get back...
