Hello hoomins, I am a sprocker spaniel (50% springer, 50% cocker 100% awesome) and have been helping my mummy learn how to run. She still does it funny, she'd be much quicker if she ran on all four paws like me.
As each week has progressed I now get to go on longer and longer runs which is ace (I have also lost the few extra 'winter' pounds which should keep the vet happy).
Today was extra special so I made sure I was on my best behaviour and mummy let me stay mostly off the lead so I got to swim as well
Today was our last run of the couch to 5k, we didn't do 5k today, well when I say we, I mean mummy cause I do lots and lots of running but we did do 33 minutes and mummy can actually do longer and get to 5k. I am very proud of my mummy.
Next step is to keep my mummy going out with me for runs, cause I like the runs best - we go further, and then maybe I can convince her to work up to 10k!

Well done to you and Ferdinand the Sprocker! I'm impressed that you can go on beyond the 30mins - I can, but it's a struggle!
My lout of a dog came on most of my runs with me, and when he wasn't running with me he was often running with my husband. Like Ferdinand, he regards 5k as a mere start, and if he could talk he'd be mocking me.
Anyway, I hope you both spend your graduation day in a lovely glow of achievement.
Well done Ferd! And Spoonie of course! Looks like you went through a few bushes as well as for a swim, now if you can only get the hang of pedalling a bike you can start doing triathlons!
Congratulations! What lovely spaniel ears you have. And many congratulations to Spoonie too – wear your new badge with pride and enjoy the next chapter in your running adventures.
Way to go spoonie and Ferd! You are both stars!!! I think having ferd for company must be a real boon. He will be very good company on those longer runs
Well done Ferdinand - you are very lucky to have a nice mummy who takes you with her. I sadly get left behind when mine is out on her running escapades.
Well done Ferd. Sorry I took so long in finding your post but your mum's post was quite long. Don't worry she didn't steal any of your glory. She was quite nice about you. Having seen your picture, I quite agree 100% awesome. Tell mum well done her really loved her post. Have you actually met the eye candy Ferd? Just asking.
Well done, Ferdinand, both for your own achievement and for keeping your mummy going too! Could you come to help me get to graduation too? I am only on week 4 so there will be plenty of fuel in your tank for going off piste with squirrel chasing, swims, etc. in between encouraging me with a few nips to the heels. Like the hairdo by the way...!
Well done on getting to week four. I am sure Ferd would to help, he doesn't nip heels cause cause nipping is bad, but hitch him to a lead and dangle a coot in front of him and he will help to pull you along
