I almost forgot to post! I just completed W2R1. Not sure what I was afraid of. I just got lost in the music and then Laura would slow me down! I have not run 90 seconds at once in the last 45 years. This is scary fun!!!
W2R1 So far so good!: I almost forgot to post! I... - Couch to 5K
W2R1 So far so good!
You're just a youngster !! But I do understand your fear - I think we here have all been there. But just think -- it will be only a short couple of months and you will be able to boast to the blokes down at the pub that you now run for 30 minutes non-stop regularly.
Well done!! Enjoy the buzz..... you deserve it!
well done...I can see you are getting the bug
Yes it is very scary fun but addictive!
It still amazes me - long may it continue. No stopping you now.
Well done
I understand your fear...at 4 stone over weight it was never going to be easy and I was genuinely worried that I couldn't do it. However, this programme really does work. I have been ready for the next level each and every time...and continue to surprise myself how well I am doing. Just completed W5R2 this morning... I can now run continuously for 8 minutes!! I struggled to run for 40 seconds my first run!! Don't tell anyone but I actually enjoy it!
Thre is nothing to fear except fear itself ......Glad you are enjoying the program and hope you enjoy the rest of the week.
Well done! Its exciting seeing progress.
Well done for feeling good this early on! I ached in a different place every week for the first 4 weeks and had begun to think that at age 51 I had left it too late to make the change from plodding labrador to whippet - but the progress was so quick that it soon became addictive. In a few weeks you will be wanting to shout your age at everyone you run past lol
It's strange that folk that have never run can find it this good isn't it? Follow the programme and keep going you can do it and it just keeps getting better each week( I know it is hard to believe but it does) Enjoy!!!!
I love this site - so inspirational and encouraging. And well done for achieving W2R1. I never thought I would enjoy running ( bouncy fast walking) and in truth, I don't. It's the feeling of euphoria I feel afterwards that keeps me going and looking forward to the next one.
Wooo hooo! Well done!
