Did anyone else find w9 hard??? Maybe it's the heat. But I'm struggling in the last week.

It is the heat, no doubt about that. Run your last run in the evening. It was very hot last night even after 8.00 pm! Or you could go out much earlier in the day

You'll nail it because you've been training for it but make life easier for yourself by not trying to run in the heat of the day. This hot spell won't last so enjoy it while you can but maybe while sitting in a deck chair with a glass of something cold rather than trying to run in it

Have fun with that last run. Make it your best! Imagine us lot cheering you round. We'll be there at the finish to pat you on the back and hand you a cold flannel and THE MEDAL!

Errrr YEAH! Week 9 is bloomin' hard. But it is the crunch week and you are SO close. Grab that graduation badge with both hands and shout to the heavens "I AM A RUNNER!"

It's hot out there right now which makes it tougher. It's a tough week - but you are so close now... :)

Well done on getting out there... good luck!

You are running 30 mins and for the last couple of weeks you have been doing these long runs and you aren't yet used to it. It can seem like a massive effort and that's because it is.

I think that it's ok if you take 2 or even 3 days break between these longer runs in week 9 as it is tiring and stressful on your body. After a couple of weeks you can go back to running every other day as your body has adjusted to that kind of physical pounding you are giving it.

Another thing that helps hugely is slow it right down to a very light jog. You think you are slow anyway? Good and now slow it down some more.

Keep going. You are almost there! Cn you hear us all shouting for you? Your badge is waiting :)

Thank you everyone you're all so encouraging. Gonna miss you all or do people still chat about c25k plus

I will echo Kickibro - slow it right down and take two or three days break if you need it. As has also been said, this heat really doesn't help. We've had rain today and it has been a bit cooler but there is still a lot of humidity - which makes matters worse still. The forecast is that the weather is going to be unsettled for the next few days so you might just get lucky and have a reasonably cool day for your final run. Incidentally, there is no need to miss everyone here because we still use the forum after graduation. There are also follow on podcasts with Laura if you want them so you don't have to make a big change from what you've been used to for the past 9 weeks. Good luck with your graduation run and my very best wishes.

It's the heat. It's horrible for running. Good Luck for your last run of the programme. Rain is forecast which might be rather nice.

Don't leave Chappamaddog, we'll miss you. There are loads of graduates on here offering wise words and encouragement. You'll be one yourself in a few days and you have wisdom to share. Last run coming up, hope it's cooler for you. Good luck x
