I've refrained from running for a few weeks as I was feeling a bit lightheaded/disorientated when on my runs. Doctor checked blood pressure/took blood tests and everything was normal. Now I'm not sure if I should go back to docs but wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Are you eating and drinking enough before your runs ? Perhaps running slower might help. I sometimes feel dizzy or sick if I run too fast. Hope you manage to work out what is causing it soon.

Are you eating/drinking enough pre run?
Do you take a drink with you during your run, maybe some water or a sports drink might help.

It has happened to me when I failed to hydrate properly in advance of a run. I usually down two glasses of water 30 mins before I go out. If you're only drinking while you're on a run, that may not be enough.

As above. Make sure you have something to eat (not immediately before your run!) for energy and make sure you've topped up on your fluids. If still no improvement then I think popping back to your GP may be a good choice. Good luck

Thanks for your responses. I think my fluids are fine but the point about food might well be my problem. I tend to run after work, then eat a meal, so will try some energy foods and even more fluids if necessary and give it another go. Thanks again
