Week 5 Run 1 - Yuck!

I knew as soon as I woke up I wasn't 'feeling' it - not very well at the moment, but I really wanted to get outside and run for a change (I'm usually on the treadmill). It was horrid, nothing in my legs, couldn't wait for the 5 minutes to end! I have since worked out I was running quite a bit faster outside than I do on the treadmill, which may have contributed, or it could just be the lurgy! Anyway, I finished it, but I'm dreading the next 2 runs now!

  • Well done for getting on with it! I usually run on the treadmill( loosely called running I may add).I find when you run outside you can immediately change pace whereas on the TM you have to notch it up.so is actually easier... also I did week 3 run 1 a few days and it was horrible.Today it felt great! So your next run need n't be horrid! Good luck :-)

  • Well done for keeping going- I think we also struggle with the odd lead-leg-day as I like to call them. I'm sure your next run will seem like a breeze in comparison :)

  • Yeah, I'm sure you're right. I'm looking forward to it actually - this week it starts to feel like being a 'runner' is actually possible, doesn't it?
