Finished the first run in the 2nd week and was surprised how much more difficult I found it at the start. Took until the 3rd section before it became easier. Not sure if this was because the start was mostly uphill so might try adjusting route. Still enjoying it and looking forward to the next run.

Well done for finishing. Personally I would recommend a flat route as I find just running hard enough.

Well done especially as you found it hard to begin with. It does sound as though it may have been down to the terrain as you state it got easier.

I've just completed the same run this evening too! Like you, I was surprised how much difficult I found those extra 30 seconds. I was running against the wind though initially which I'm sure didn't help!

hi! Im at the same run, I did W2R1 last Sunday and W2R2 will be tomorrow. I agree with you, these 30 secs make a difference! But it became easier after the first section I think the uphill didn´t help at all!

Best wishes and good luck

Well done on your first run of W2. Uphill work is definitely much harder so that probably explained why you found the session that bit tougher. I'm lucky, It's all flat where I live. If you can find a flat route whilst you are building stamina, especially at this stage, it might be to your benefit. However, I do appreciate that it isn't always possible if you happen to live in a hilly type of area. Good luck with your next run and best wishes.
