I have bumbled thru day 1 but Laura doesnt speak to me, just says run now or walk now, whatever, very little. Does she get more vocal as the weeks go on or have I screwed up somewhere ??

Why doesnt Laura talk to me !
Which version are you using?

Tonight I seem to have loads info I didnt see before so obviously something I am doing, I am so technology thick ! It has got me as having done day 2 but I havent, can I delete that and how
Hi JudesL , are you using the NHS Couch to 5K plan ? The reason I ask is before I saw this site, I found an app on my Blackberry that was called " Couch to 5k " I managed somwhow to download it but all it was was an American female voice saying " Walk now " then " Jog now " That was it, no music, no chat or anything. It wasn't until I came across this site that I realised I had downloaded the wrong one ! Just a thought , hope you manage to get sorted , the NHS one is miles better ! xx
poppypug I just found it, I was using the wrong one, how do I get it on my phone, any idea
I copied them as Podcasts. It is not quite the same as using iTunes. Are you using an Android phone or iPhone?
I have a similar problem. I've downloaded the nhs c25k app on my android phone. All the lady says is it's time for your run now, or it's time to slow down now. Nothing in between to keep you going, and no music. Have I got the wrong one. It also stopped just before the end the first run, and today it stopped halfway through run 2! I had to count the seconds for the rest! Well done for starting btw! I'm at the same stage as you i think
I'm a technophobe and don't use an app for my phone. I bought a cheap MP3 player and downloaded the podcasts for that from the NHS Choices Livewell website. I find it much easier than messing around with phone apps. The podcasts have Laura giving you encouragement as well as telling you when to jog and walk, etc. The music isn't always brilliant but it's chosen for the purpose of the programme. You can get MP3 players from Tesco or Argos for as little as £10 so that might just suit you better than a phone app. Best wishes.
Ooh, thank you Fitmo, I'll investigate
Well I finally downloaded it and off I went this am, brilliant for the 1st 15 minutes then nothing, no sound nothing, so annoying, I had to count down as well, I am thinking its a trip to argos today or try and find the one my dear OH says is buried in a drawer ( mp3 that is ) So thats my 2nd run, very hard to get out of bed but so rejuventating once I have taken that step, Wish I could find somewhere totally flat for a while though !!
Oh dear, exactly my problem! Including the wishing for somewhere flat to run! But you're right, although it's super hard getting out of bed, I've felt brilliant that I actually did it. Good luck with the technology issues
