My little Pickle is four-and-three-quarters... five in June. We have signed up for the Colour Run in Wembley in June, and I was concerned he wouldn't make it. He loves to run but has a tendency to stop dead after a few metres. I thought we might try doing C25K together to help him build stamina. We went and got him new running shoes this morning, and then went to the park. He was amazing! Focused and brave, kept going with encouragement even when he got a bit tired. He did all eight runs really well, covering 3,2km including warm-up and cool-down. He definitely experienced running euphoria when he finished, and is so proud of the achievement. I think he's hooked, and we will work through all the runs together!

That's brilliant and he will love the color run especially if you let him roll around in the paint ha ha just make sure he has his sun glasses on and something to cover his nose and mouth at the paint stations
That is so amazing, he will really enjoy the colour run. As a general question, when is a good age to start running with young children? My 18month loves coming out with me or her dad, but it would be nice to get her running too rather than be carried or pushed in her buggy?
I'm telling you all, he's soooooo cute, drop dead gorgeous I'll bet he has a ball during the Colour Run. Don't get those new running shoes dirty before then though young man I need to know all about the run as I'm doing one up in Inverness in August (hopefully).
I reckon the lure of being able to get all messed up with the paint is an encouragement! Well done and good luck. Best wishes.
I concur with oldgirl, just saw his picture on facebook. What a cutie - and he was wearing his brand new trainers. Have fun running together.
