Hi all! How have all you couch to 5kers been keeping? I must apologise in advance for my lack of participation on here lately! I have been absolutely swamped with uni work, work, etc, etc!

I will be spending the next hour catching up on everyone's posts but I really wanted to update you all on my running as it's been 5 months since I began my couch to 5k journey and I also want to let you all know how the dreaded charity sky dive went.

I think when I last posted I was working my way to 10k and had my first race booked at glow in the park. What a fab race that was, armed with my head torch and glow sticks I ran with some of my fellow running club members and managed to complete the 5k in just 29.58 :) Since then my running has gone from strength to Strength.

I completed my first 10k race last month with a time of 58:32 and have been building my distance up for quite a while now. I am currently running a long distance of 10 miles each week as well as a variation of distances and terrain to build my endurance and speed up. I am finding hills training an absolute killer but weirdly enough I thoroughly enjoy

off road especially running through the mud in my trail shoes :)

My hubby is still the supportive pace maker, trainer and all round star without whom I would never have come as far as I have. We have just booked for our first half marathon next month!! Eeekk!! I need to get some more hills work in if I'm going to conquering the undulating terrain onSalisbury plain!!

My children are still building on their running endurance and I have just signed them up to park run so that I can run alongside them although as yet they are still to graduate from the c25k plan.

And lastly, the skydive!! After our second attempt to jump was cancelled due to strong winds and cloud, I was starting to give up hope of it ever being likely to happen! But on Saturday 29th of March we finally managed to do it! What an experience!! We had clear blue skies, my instructor was amazing and the views over Salisbury and Stonehenge were breathtaking! Me and my friend jumped at 10000ft but we are already looking to jump again very soon at 15000ft! It was truly awesome :)

Sorry for such a waffling and lengthy post but life has been pretty crazy lately and I'm trying to give you all a snapshot of it lol!

Oh one last thing, I finally managed to reach my weight loss target of 5 stone loss in 10 months, yesterday! It has been a good week :)

Thank you. I have been so busy that I haven't had much time to sit and reflect on everything yet. I am hoping once my dissertation is submitted I can get some me time to think about what I have achieved in the past 12 months because at the moment it just doesn't feel real.
