I am just here to say that I am getting quite excited for my first race and my first race is a 10k. Who would have thought it 7 months ago. I started this programme back in September hoping that I would enjoy this running malarkey. Never in a million years did I think 7 months on I would be running a 10k race.
I dont think that I would have got as far as I have if I didnt have the support of all of you. So thank you all for your advice and help.
I went out running last Saturday with a running partner. First time in 7 months that I have run with anyone. Really enjoyed the company and his encouragement to keep me going. Also manage my first 10k run ever. Was well impressed to have done it in 1 hour 9 mins.
So next sunday 6th april I will be running at 8.30 in the morning. I am so looking forward to it. I have also managed to raise £500+ for great ormond street hospital.
Happy running everyone x

That's fantastic. Good luck! Well done for raising the money!! Inspiration to us newbie runners. I've only been running since Jan and can now run 5K but would like to be able to run 10K this time next year. Who knows!
Ooooh well done and good luck! I have my first 10k race at the beginning of June and I am slightly more nervous than you! I will be pleased just to complete it I think and not to come last! Well done on your fund raising - fantastic!
