The "dreaded" week 5 run 1 .... And talking to Laura

Done and dusted! Felt a bit cheated actually as run one was only 15 minutes of running (run 3 of week 4 was 16 minutes) oh well, I know Laura knows what she's doing with me!

I found myself talking to Laura out loud today on the run - well she did ask me how I was feeling. Good job no one was around to hear me. Does anyone else talk to her?!

I think today was the first day that I can honestly say I'm feeling fitter. My legs seemed to be driving me forward today rather than me forcing them. What a great feeling.

For anyone dreading week 5, I can honestly say you have nothing to worry about (so far anyway!) It really does just seem to progress along so naturally. Laura is SO encouraging, as is everyone on this forum.

Just brilliant.

Just done the same run myself and with the same reaction. I kept wondering whether my phone had somehow missed out a couple of runs until Laura said "you have run a total of 15 minutes" . So, today was fine -it's the end of the week 20 minute run that is worrying me.Still Laura has clearly known what she is doing so far so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I will manage it somehow.

I'm looking forward to coming home and being able to say that I ran for 20 minutes! I have no idea how that's going to happen, but Laura hasn't been wrong so far!

Good luck

I've just completed Wk R3 - and yes Laura does know what she is on about. I was really surprised and can't say I found it easy but I did complete the whole 20 minutes! Who would have thought from barely running 60 seconds 5 weeks ago to this. Glad you are enjoying it and feeling the benefits fitness wise. Yes I answer Laura as well when she asks how I'm feeling. Just think we are over the half way stage now. Well done

It hadn't occurred to me that we are over half way! I feel a mixture of sadness and elation. I must look to see what we can do when this is finished. Hope your week 6 is going well?

You'll be fine for the last run of this week. It's not as bad as I expected and I managed it last week. Good luck and best wishes.

Thanks fitmo. It does help when you hear that someone has just done what you are about to do, especially if it's a little bit daunting.

I just did wk5r1 and feel fabulous! I wish I could run tomorrow and progress mpre quickly to the 20 minute run but I trust Laura so I shall wait, take rest days and be a good girl :)
