Week 4 - a bummer!! :(

I just told my run buddy that I am going to repeat week 4, couldn't ran the last 5 minutes nonstop. My ankle also hurts. Feeling a bit disappointed in myself.

Don't be dismayed. It's amazing that you are still inspired to continue, and we will all be cheering you along. Do take it easy with your ankle: try and rest up this weekend. If it continues to hurt, it may be worth seeing your doctor, just to make sure there is nothing more serious going on.

If possible, it might be worth going to a sports shop and getting a gait analysis, to see if your shoes are suitable.

Keep smiling, and think of all the positives.

There is nothing wrong with repeating a week, lots of people do it (some repeat the early weeks for a very long time!) Its important to go at the right pace for you. Don't beat yourself up over the last 5 minutes... instead think about what you have achieved already! You are running, you are out there and doing it :-D Take a few days to rest the ankle and only run when it's properly better. You are doing great, be proud of your achievements. xx

Yes listen to the advice , don't run till your ankle is feeling better , I ignored ankle pain & paid the price by not being able to run for nine weeks . Hope all is well soon .

I have been having ankle problems. I waited until they were better (couple of days) and now am running with some strapping which seems to be helping

If you really feel you would be better to repeat the week - nothing to beat yourself up for. I frequently repeat runs/weeks and find it can be very useful. Rest up your ankle and get it checked out - be kind to yourself and avoid running until it is properly healed. Best wishes.
