Attempted w5r2 today having successfully done all the other runs. I ran the first 8mins ok and was surprised how quickly it went by! However, the second 8 did not go so well. After a bit I was really hoping Laura had forgotten to tell me where I was and that I was actually nearly done! I don't clock watch so I had no idea. But, when I did check, it was only 3 minutes in!!! I kept going for another 2 at a slower pace but I then had to walk for a minute before running (jogging!) the rest.
It has annoyed me a bit, but then I reason that this is the first run I've not been able to complete first time ... and my general level of fitness was/is not great, so all things considered, it's not that bad is it? I think I shall just re run on Friday..!

I have week5run2 on Friday as well, just tell yourself you can do it and you haven't given up which is the main thing. I feel getting this far is good and you are doing it!!! Just don't worry about the run, reading all the posts here shows we can all do it by just sticking with it.
You were out and running. We all have not so good runs but any run is better than sitting on the couch. Keep up the good work. You can do it and there is no shame in repeating a run. Sure you'll do it next time.
I've had a few not so good runs before now. It's frustrating but I usually succeed on a re-run. Have a good rest today and you'll fly through it tomorrow. Good luck and very best wishes.
I'm at a similar stage to you and struggled on a couple of runs . You made it this far and I am sure your next run will be better. We just have to remember to trust the programme . I get a buzz from any run completed good or bad and sometimes with more mind over matter I keep moving onto the next run. Good luck and keep us posted.
Thank you for your comments and words of motivation! Unfortunately I was struck down with the fluey/cold thing that seems to be going round so never made my run last Friday. Now have plans to restart w5 tomorrow. Hoping attempt 2 will go better for me
