I graduated back in dec before christmas and the weather and excuses set in , then life got in the way so stopped , started again late jan , just running as best I could but soon go fed up that my fitness had disappeared so quickly and was a bit down hearted , but started again this week -running 8mins ,walk 3 ,run 5 but struggling so much - should I just go back to the very beginning and start from scratch??

Hi run ragged , I know it's different for me ( injury ) but I had to stop running end ofDecember & I restarted c25k from beginning in feb . If you are finding it difficult I would say go back to earlier wks of the programme . Good luck & stick with it .

I agree with Rockette. If you really are struggling then perhaps it would be best to go back to week 1. Best wishes.

Hi--I did the same as you and tried W2 to start and then 2 days later did W3, which is where I am going to stick for my restart. All my "runner" running friends tell me that even if they are marathon level runners, when you stop for a while, it really sets you back. Good luck and keep running!

i am just restarting again after illness and an old injury. Did a run one week one this morning found it a bit easy so going to do a week 2 run next time out see how that goes till i find a level that is challenging and go from there good luck

Hi; I've been in a similar position and found it easier when I went back to the beginning. I found these weeks fairly easy and after that my confidence grew. It is so demotivating to not run the distance you set yourself, so be kind to yourself and don't expect too much at first and before you know it you'll be completing week 9 again! Happy running!
