So i have completed three runs of week 4, but i did not feel ready to move onto week 5, so i did another run another of week 4, but again i still don't overly feel ready? I don't know why do you think i should just try week 5 and see how i go? did anyone else feel like this?
Thank you
Happy running

I think a lot of people worry about the step up between weeks, and week 5 and that 20 minute run certainly looms large on the horizon.
Speaking as one who's now on week 6 all I can say is the program does prepare you for each sucessive week, and week 5 is no different: search on here for all the people who were dreading it and then got through, the sense of achievement is worth it on its own!
I would say go for it, you'vr already done 5 minute runs in week 4 so W5R1 shouldn't be any more difficult thatn you've already experienced.
theres a bit where Laura says its all pyschological now - as physically you've been trained to get to the next step - even though it may look scary and impossible from this side... from the other side, when you've done it, it will feel amazing!
Unless you have a really solid, physical reason for not moving upwards - why not give it a go... we'll all be rooting for you here to make it through thats for sure!
Its only a few diddly mins more than the last one - you can do it! one step at a time...its got you this far so it will get you to the end!
Have faith in the programme and above all have faith in yourself, many of us have had doubts along the way, but you won't know if you can do it until you have tried. Give it a go, but start your run with a positive attitude by saying "I've done all the prep work for this so I will succeed" Don't beat yourself up over your running as Beek says it has to be fun and enjoyable. Let us know how you get on
same as all the others said, just trust in the programme and go for it. I think mentally, at least for me, I had spent my adolesant and adult life telling myself it wasn't a runner and its hard to change that. I remember looking at week 5 and then 7 and laughing about how i'd never do it. Now i can run 7k and do at least 10k every week.
The only difference between W4R3 and W5R1 is that instead of having a couple of 3 min runs between your 5 min runs (and some walking breaks), you just do the 5 min runs. You can already run for 5 mins without stopping 6 times, so doing it a few more times should work. If you try W5R1 and find you can't manage it, then you can come back here and moan at all of us for giving you bad advice. If you try it and find you actually can mange it, then you will discover that you are better than you thought you were!
thank you guys for all your advice <3 i cant wait to try it now, you has all inspired me! so tomorrow morning im on W5W1! I'm more excited now, especially as i brought myself some new trainers as my old ones broke on me! ohh and a new sports bra thank you all for the inspiration! i will let you all know how i get on tomorrow!
