Well, I signed up today as I want to run the race for life this year, instead of just walking it. However, I've just come back from my
Well done! The hardest thing is usually getting out of the door at the beginning of the programme. Yes, it probably was hard, but you did it - so enjoy your rest day and then go back out the next day. If you're anything like most of us, you'll soon find it addictive. Not necessarily enjoyable at this stage, but strangely addictive....
Thank you so much for your encouragement. Well done on your 10K
Well done you poppydop I started the program in Dec 2013 and graduated a couple of weeks ago. My motivation was running Race for Life this summer for the first time. I had never run in my life so if a huffy-puffy out of shape person like me can do it then go on you!
I have no idea how the program works but it does. Just listen to Laura and she will see you right.
Good luck with everything.
That's a great start poppydop, just stick with the programme and you will be fine. Plenty of support and advice on here too. Enjoy. x
Thank you. The support will really help.
Well done for getting our there and welcome to the forum. We are a friendly supportive bunch. Good luck
Welcome and well done on getting started, thats the hardest part out of the way.
I've done a few Race For Lifes over the last couple of years, June will be my 4th and my 11yo daughter's 3rd. I've kind of ran/walked last the 3, this year I'm determined to run all of it, my next run will be week 5 run 3.
Good luck on your journey, it gets addictive after a short while
Thank you. This will be my 3rd Race for Life in June and I've only ever walked. This year, I really want to be able to run it, so I'm going to stick with the programme and see what happens.
I've done my first run/walk today too and starting this for the same reason! To run the race for life x
Good for you Joanne. Good luck.x
Well done for getting started on the programme. Enjoy! Good luck with your runs. Best wishes.
