Slow recovery and I really miss running!

I bit the bullet and forked out for a private assessment with a physiotherapist on Wednesday who confirmed by GP'S diagnosis of soft tissue damage in the groin area. I've had this injury since early January and I am so fed up with not being able to run. However today I decided I would walk one of my routes and see how I got on. I had to really slow down but I managed to walk 4k before the pain stopped me. This is a great improvement from two weeks ago but I've still got a long way to go.On Friday I finally got a letter to arrange to have an NHS physio appointment so at least I won't have to worry about paying for private treatment now. My aim is to be running again by Easter so wish me luck please.

Oh dear, poor you. It must be really frustrating not being able to run. I hope your physio will be able to put you right quite soon

Oh, what a shame, it must be horrible and you sound pretty fed up. It does sound like you have improved a good bit in the last 2 weeks though, which is great, and hopefully the physio will continue to make a difference. Good luck Twizzle - I really hope you are back out by Easter, keep your chin up.

I hope the appointment comes through soon for you. Physio Can work wonders. So hopefully as soon as you see them you will be on the path to recovery, good luck.
