For the last 6 weeks I have been doing the C25k on the treadmill. Tonight, I walked to the garage in the pouring rain, switched on the treadmill and the belt didn't move.
Put on a reflective jacket and ran outside for the first time and it was amazing! Tiring but amazing!
So week 6, run 3 is complete, I am wet through and on cloud 9. bring on week 7!

Treadmill.... I can't stand treadmills. I'm short so the top of the machines in the gym is right in my eyeline. It's like being travel sick!! He, he. I love running outdoors. Me, my dog and the old railway track!
I was in a similar boat. I thought I'd rather run on a treadmill in the gym, as it was going to be easier (no hills, constant speed, nice forgiving surface). WRONG!! My first outside run was W7R1, and it was SO much better.
Well done for completing 25 minutes in the wind and rain. Best of luck for the rest of the programme!
thanks, the way I see it is that if I can run in the wind and rain, I can run at any time! Also pleased that I went out and ran and didn't use the dead treadmill as an excuse.
I love the outdoors! The fresh air is wonderful. Not a great fan of the rain though, but when you're runner you whether the storm.
