Poor Rockette! What a pigging nuisance! I'm so sorry to hear this as I know that you're keen as mustard to get going again as the days are getting longer and lighter (well, when it's not raining). Am looking forward to being able to read that you are running again in the next month or so as I have an enforced period off running coming up, so maybe you'll be pacifying me again soon!

So sorry to hear, what a bummer. Unfortunately best advise is to listen to the experts. They know there stuff. I know it can be so frustrating. Hang in there and know we all all thinking of you.

Sorry to hear your news Rockette you must be feeling very frustrated. You will get back out there I'm sure just be guided by your physio and listen to your body. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Oh no! New York is too amazing not to walk around though. My trip there flared up my PF. Rest up though, two weeks is better then a permanent problem. You will be back! :)

Thanks everyone , yes I'll be out there soon ( I hope ) . I have just got to be patient & it isn't one of my virtues lol . Happy running . X

If its any consolation the weather is pants so it seems wise to rest up and watch telly or an exercise video. it would me more frustrating if the sun was shining. Rest up a bit rockette, be patient and the time will pass in no time.

Hi Rockette, sorry to hear you've had a setback isn't it funny how not long ago we didn't run anywhere and now we can't wait to run :)

I know Andy , well today been doing some walking , I'm back at work & it's been fine not a twinge , so fingers crossed I'm on the mend . Think a long haul flight didn't help matters as well . Thanks for your reply

Sorry to hear this; I know how frustrating it is to be 'signed-off' sick. Did your physio say if you could do any other exercise? I did a lot of cycling when not running due to IT band injury, although maybe this is not recommended with tendonitis. What about swimming? Or you could concentrate on upper body exercises and building your core strength - the type of stuff many of us know we should be doing, but never quite find the time! :-)

Yes I set off to build my core strength , but it fell by the way side , I've done no cycling no swimming nothing I'm ashamed to say ! Oh I've been hoola hooping a bit lol .

No cycling, no swimming! Rockette - well well well. ;-) You could always eat spinach and pump some iron.
