W1R1 the very beginning

today was the first day for me, I don't think I will ever get the hang of getting out of bed in the freezing weather at 6:30 am but I really enjoyed the run. I ran in similar intervals for a couple of weeks before Christmas and really wanted to get back to it so this seems like a really good motivation goal! The run went better than I expected even during an unexpected uphill run. Week 2 already seems scary but im excited by this challenge

Welcome! There are loads of different routes into acquiring a running habit but NHS C25K and this group are particularly good. I found Week 1 runs toughest of the lot (and still do)

You may not believe me, but you WILL be longing to jump up out of bed to run in a few weeks time.; rain and cold permitting.

Good luck with your running, and keep us informed.

Congratulations on your first week! I'm definitely an evening runner - could never drag myself out of bed for a morning run! Keep us posted as for your week 2 and enjoy the journey :)

Welcome to C25K. It is hard at times to get out of bed early in the mornings especially at this time of year. My dog gets me up early for his first walk of the day and I do my run after that. Then I find the day just seems to flow. Good luck with the programme. Best wishes.

Hello! Congrats on your first run, don't be scared of the weeks, this program is so clever. You will never think you can do it, but its most definitely possible each time. Trust yourself, don't push yourself too hard and if a week is too tough just redo it :) looking forward to seeing your progress! Half of this program is a mental challenge more than a physical one. You can do it!! :)
