I knew I wouldn't avoid it, and I guess I should be happy I haven't had one before. But man, today's run was no fun
Considering I've made myself run when I'm sick, hungover, tired and in pouring rain (not allat once!) there wasno excuse for this to be bad. Mild day, good nights sleep, and I did my heftier 6.5k on tuesday so this was my easier 30min run.
really hard in every way and on the 3rd km my knee was twinging with each step, then both knees were (i swore, loudly, a lot. I hobbled through the 5k but just really unsatisfying all round. Boo.

Yep, we all get them. Sorry you had one today, when you were so obviously set for a good one. If it's any consolation I normally find the subsequent run is an absolute belter.
(Come to think of it I have not had a bad one for a while...... hmmmm)
I had about three or four bad runs on the bounce...it really knocked me. I hope you next run is better, but I guess what I'm saying is, even if it isn't, it's out there somewhere waiting for you...you just need to keep running to find it!
I ditched Laura, gave myself a good talking to and reduced my expectations...it worked wonders! Have had a good couple of runs since my 'blip' so am slowly getting back on track! Thank you and happy running!!
I had three in a row after christmas, not enjoyable at all. Boo for sure. Still I consoled myself that I was still out running and that was fine. Since then I have had 5 or 6 really great runs. Relaxed and enjoyable - even this morning in the pelting rain and sleet. So rest assured the good times will return.
Most folk don't have three in a row though so I don't mean to jinx you
