Is anyone doing any of the Sports Relief challenges? You can sign up for 1, 3 or 6 mile runs, only £6 entry! They are also holding bike and swimathons for anyone who prefers them to running - however they are all taking place on the same day so you have to choose! Its on the 23rd March and I have signed up for the 6 mile - my first proper event over 5k! I have run 5.5 miles/8.8km in training so by March I should easily manage 6 miles I hope! I am hoping Jantastic keeps me on track :-) might be a good goal for the end of Jantastic for any fellow participants!

I think there are peeps signed up, judging by my reading of some of the posts hereabouts. I think my local jog group is taking part but I'm just getting back into running having been injured, so not fully back in the swim yet

Good luck with your challenge!

Whoop whoop I've only gone and signed up for 3 miles. It will be a stretch but WAY HAY here I go. Good training for me. Thanks for reminding us it is out there.

Yay rfc! Hope it goes well! It seems like a good event for everyone, with the different distances, and cheap entry too which is a bonus!

I love posts like this, thank you! :-)

I have just signed up for the 6 miles at 1015am at the Olympic Park -I ran there on the Olympic Park Anniversary race last year which finished in the Stadium; I don't think this race is but it's still a great place to run, looking at all the huge sports venues (and hopefully there will be less construction work going on as it re-opens soon to the public!)

Will have to see tomorrow if any of my kids want to sign up to join me (they are all asleep; I am still in night shift mode so wide awake!) :-)

How fab poppy! Glad to have flagged it up - it doesn't come up on the usual sites I search for races so I thought I would mention it! Plus as they are all on the same day/time we can support each other virtually!! Hope you persuade your kids to join you - I think the Olympic park sounds like a great, inspiring venue!
