What have I done?

Towards the end of my last 5k run a week ago I got a very sharp pain in my groin on the inside. It came out of nowhere and without warning. I have generally rested since then but the pain returns even after a walk of a few minutes. It is particularly painful when I get back on my feet from sitting down. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Ouch! I am not a doctor, but I had something similar when I first started the programme, back in November. In my case it was diagnosed as a minor hernia, which a course of anti-inflammatories has settled down. Personally speaking (from no medical background whatsoever) I suggest you speak to your doctor just to confirm.

I would urge you to go to your GP.

See your doctor or a sports physio x

Ouch, and I second what has been said about seeing the quack.

Thanks everyone, I shall make an appointment to see the doctor and continue to rest.
