There's no one perfect app, try a few and see what you think.
I like strava because it can show you how you're improving over sections as well as the whole route (useful if you stick to the same route) and endomondo because it syncs to myfitnesspal and in the pro version you can setup custom intervals.
I thought we were all using NHSC25K on here? The Laura one??
I have the Iphone app, and its basically the podcast, but with visual countdowns and whats coming next and time left. You can scroll and repeat any day of any week, and also fast forward to later weeks to look at what you will be able to achieve. But an mp3 player and the downloads (With Laura) are just as good and instructive.
No official Android App as far as I can see. But the podcast with a gps fitness app should be ok
There is an android app - play.google.com/store/apps/... not tried it for a while, might even be good now
