Hi Lesleyann, welcome to the forum. You need the NHS podcasts - click on the running man picture top right and that'll take you to the NHS website, you can get it from there or in iTunes, just make sure it's the NHS one, it's the best and free. Good luck and keep coming back, everyone here is so supportive, they'll help you through your runs.
Hi there, do as Scotsheather said and also download myfitnesspal it's great for controlling your calorie intake, I found it really good .Then do as Laura says and you will be fine, I am 74 and been doing the program for eighteen months now, 1stone lighter and much healthier . Good luck and keep on posting . Pat .-
I'm doing slimming world as well as well as running. I started the C25k about 11 weeks or so ago and love running now! I'm doing the success express diet on Slimming world (2 thirds plate superfree and 1 third plate free) and find that works best for me alongside running. I've lost for the past 8 weeks now and I think a lot of it is down to the running.
I use runkeeper to track my runs but for the programme I would download the NHS C25k podcasts from here or in ITunes:

Good luck!!
You might want to try different running apps to see which one suits. I regularly use endomondo, which I upgraded to the pro version so I could have access to Interval Training. I also like strava run because it breaks runs down in to sections and shows you where your improving.
I'll also 2nd the MyFitnessPal approach for watching what you eat, it's calories that count - not what day you eat this and what day you eat that. Endomondo can talk to MyFitnessPal so you can log how many calories you've burned.
Sadly, we don't burn as many calories running as we'd like to think
I use MapMyRun - you could also check out the new Guardian running podcasts (beginners and advanced) to go with it?
