Lauras skipping on me!!

I knew I shouldn't of gone out this morning. My lower back was uncomfortable, my feet wouldn't bend and my ankles felt stiff so the first ten minutes were hard. I carried on, splashing through the larger that normal puddles or small lakes as I went. This was my final week 8 run so I was very determined to see it through. 15 minutes in and I suddenly heard Laura announce that I only had 1 minute left. I thought that I had misheard and it was wishful thinking on my part but she carried on telling me how well I was doing etc. Good job I have Runkeeper announcing my stats every 5 minutes. I ran for 30 minutes in the end just to make sure I covered the 28 minutes. Its made me a little nervous of next week and beyond as its made me realise just how much I rely on Laura to get me through each run. Please don't skip on me again Laura!!

I think it's your ipod or whatever that gets jogged about as you run and it moves it on. Mine does it all the time which is most annoying as I can't see the darned thing to sort it out, so I have to just wing it. Happy running!

Yes I need things that wont need tampering with as I don't run with my reading glasses. Its the 1st time its happened so fingers crossed for week 9.

Oh no, frustrating, or what? I've got a little Zen mp3 player and I'm afraid I don't know anything about any other techie

things. Could someone lend you a bit of kit (phone/mp3) just for the week 9 runs? I know how desperate you'll be to do them and graduate.

By the way you have done fantastically well to get this far with all the filthy weather, Christmas and New Year! The other thing is; do you think that you should just give yourself one extra day off if you really struggled today? Let the old bod recover a bit!

I've been very lucky on my run days and have missed running in the worst of the weather, thank goodness. I'm in ore of the people that have run in the wind and heavy rain. I think your right with trying to treat the body with respect. I've never been one to exercise and I think my body is rebelling. My teenagers are still impressed so it cant all be bad.

Glad that your teenagers are impressed- you must really be doing well! Full of pride that I'd finally managed to run for 30 minutes and told one of my boys (23 yrs) and he just looked shocked and said that he couldn't imagine not being able to run for 30 minutes! Oh well!
