I ran W9 R1 today on a glorious morning. It was really hard to start with and seemed to be going SO slowly, but after 10 minutes I decided to lengthen my stride every time the music track changed until it started to be uncomfortable then revert back to normal. I was running so much faster by the end. I come from a horse-racing background and think there is a parallel with staying horse races in that front runners who are 20 lengths ahead early on usually 'blow-up' in the last few furlongs. I hope to be that horse who settles at the back then plods on through tiring horses!
