Venturing Out again...

Going to run outside tonight for the first time in 6 weeks as I have been treadmill running to help get over an injury. I am a bit nervous as running on the spot must be easier than outside and I may get stranded miles from home. Wish me luck!

Good luck, why not do a circuit close to home at least that way you won't get stranded

Great advice Mummysaurus and I took it. I ran around my extended neighbourhood all together I ran 7k but I was never really further than 2k from home. Knee did ok, a little niggle, but stamina was great and I beat my fastest average pace record so maybe the treadmill was a good idea. :)

Running 7k after a 6 week break is brilliant. I bet you were sore the next day.

Thanks. I had been running a bit on a treadmill but I much prefer to run outside. It felt great to be outside again and at the time I felt like I could just keep going. This morning however my knee is grumbling and I think I may need to head back to the treadmill for my next couple of runs!
