I had knee problems round about 3rd week , I went to docs & he said it was my body getting used to my new running regime , if it persists I would go to the docs to get checked out . Also how old ars your running shoes ? They play a big part , I went & got new ones because mine where quite old & I've been pain free around the knees since . Hope your problem goes as quick as it come .
Not to say ignore it, but my first few weeks threw up all sorts of pains. I have since settled into it and have no long term issues so far (touch wood). I would just make sure it doesnt continue by not pushing if it hurts too much and if it persists see a professional wishing you all the luck
I am interested in this post. I had knee pain with my run yesterday (W1D3). I looked up some knee strengthening exercises and did several of them today - plan on doing them on my off days. I'm also going to do more/better stretching before and after my runs. I did buy myself some new shoes yesterday - now I'm hoping all these things together will help. I'm 52, so my knees are old and rebelling!
Yes same here keakels, I'm 55 & in early wks my knees where bad , now they seem to have settled down , no problems with them . My ankle ( right ) has been acting up a bit , but it's not as bad as it where, like you say think it's a age thing . Happy & safe running .
