Broke my toe 2 days before my last run on week 9, so gutted. Any advice on how long to rest it, any advice, where to start when I can run again?

Week 9 Run 2 then a broken toe!
Hubby broke his big toe a few years ago, went to the doctor who told him there was nothing he could do except rest it. Next day hubby played golf and says it was the best game he ever played because he was thinking of the pain in his toe and not the golf!
Sorry I know this is not a golf forum, but as there is nothing the doctors can do, you should probably ice it, rest it and when you feel ready to go for a run, then go for it.
Perhaps it'll be the best run you ever had.......
hi I broke my toe just before I started c25k.Very painful indeed.I went onto the NHS site which said to splint it next to the adjacent toe.Providing it wasn't the big toe that was ok.I did go to the doc to make sure I had done the right thing, and yes that's the advice she would have given but said it would be a number of weeks before I could exercise on it.She actually said to stay off it as much as possible and that included walking.Sorry for that news, but if you want to check the nhs site on what to do if you suspect a broken toe.Get better soon, the running will wait
Due to do run 1 w9 today
But I tripped when going downstairs and three toes are very painful. Don't know if I broke any but very sore
Can hardly walk without winching
So I will have to wait a week before running again
Grerrrrr
No advice but so sorry. Can understand why you are so gutted. What a grotty time for it to happen.
