Yesterday was my little man's 7th B'day and I wore a size 10 dress!, YES, a SIZE 10!! And my little man said 'you look very nice in that dress Mummy, you have lost a lot of weight after starting to run'!! Well, I was a size 14 on top (5' 1 1/2" tall, or should I say short?!) and size 12 at the bottom...now I am a size 10, yepeeee!! never thought I would wear a size 10 after I put on a bit after having my son. I was size 8-10-12 about 12 years ago, for the last 10 years it was only size 12-14!

So we had lots of food (English and Chinese!!) and Cakes yesterday celebrating the B'Day and today I ran 10K in 1 hour 3 minutes. A minute better than last week but yet to reduce 3 more minutes to hit my target. I ran all the way to town from where I live and in the (Oxford) university parks which was quite nice, should try there on another Saturday or a Sunday again.

So now...., I am a happy woman....we have bit more Cakes left so I will have a cup of tea and a piece of Cake now.....and I will run again in a day or two to burn the calories.

What a lovely blog, Mini 13! Fantastic results for you with dress sizes, obviously appreciated by your son too!

Enjoy finishing those cakes - and then run like mad!

Thank you very much Beek...I am a 'Cakeholic', so have banned Hubby from buying Cakes, then yesterday was a special occasion and my Cake tasted really yummy (I was not all that good in baking Cakes until I started following Jo Wheatley's recipes!)...which makes me wanting to bake Cakes:-)

Well done you, its lovely when you drop dress sizes, makes shopping more enjoyable (my opinion) you enjoy that birthday cake with your lovely son, who says just the right things women want to hear - - and he's only 7, wow look out mum you'll have all the girls at the door in another 10 years time!!! ;)

Smashing time for 10K too, hope you reach your goal, but take it steady and easy so as not to cause any injury.

Thank you Oldgirl...it is a great feeling to be able to go down in sizes, yes shopping is more enjoyable as you say! I know....he has beaten Daddy and commented on the dress before Daddy could do it:-)

Thank you again for the valuable advise, I do my 10K slow and 2 fast 5K's a week, that is what I am doing at the minute.

Hopefully one of my friends will join me for a Park Run on coming Saturday but she is running slow so I will run with her, so it will be a slow run..

Good luck to you for your runs!!

Wonderful blog... And well done you, isn't running just the best ever?? I too have gone from a size 14 to a 10.... I haven't been size ten since I was 13 ( I'm quite tall at 5 foot 8) so it's a miracle. Well lets enjoy it eh and indulge in every tight fitting naughty dress we can lay our hands on... Just to make a point!!!!

Well done... I know how hard it is....

And she said that I am doing really good!!
