Finally managed to do this run. The first time i pulled out at the 2 min mark of the final 3 min run, but this time paced myself and kept saying slow down as i knew i would not make it otherwise, so chuffed to have done the final run and it was not as bad as i thought it would be again. Yipee. Bring on the 2nd run....

Well done you. Slowly is always the answer :).
It's always tempting to set off like Usain Bolt, but it only wears you out too soon. Laura will keep telling you it's about distance and not speed, and you build up your stamina on every run. From the posts on here most of us were wrecks after 60 seconds on Week 1 but by the end of the course everyone has comes a long way.
And running does become an obsession, too. I've gone from no exercise at all to moping if I can't get out on a scheduled run day (and that seems to be quite common from the posts too).
Keep up the good work, and keep us posted x
The second run was so much easier than the first run.
Lots of things contributed to this - the first run was in the evening, which meant the gym was packed and I couldn't get enough air. But the second run was just really simple. It will be intreresting to see how the third run goes as that will be outside, which I usually find harder than the treadmill.
Hello wondered if you kept up the running I'm at w3 w3. Completed w3 runs 1&2 but r 3 could not compete. My calf muscle tightened up and where so painful.
