Week 4 slump

Hi everyone! So I have just started week 4 and am finding it very difficult, feels like I am just dragging my body around instead of actually running! Determined to keep going and hopefully get through this slump. Anyone else feeling the same?

Week 4 is a tough one. But if you're not walking then you're running... even if it's really heavy going. Determination will see you through and you can do this :)

I've just done week 4, and it was a bit of an endurance test... I think Laura says it gets serious here... well, she says the same for week 5! But... the last run of week 4 was actually better... I found I could keep going and felt smoother. Just don't push too hard and keep going seems to be the key. (i.e. don't run with your 22 year old daughter and try to keep up :( ) And the satisfaction on doing it keeps on! :)

It maybe you're a bit under the weather. If you feel alright then you are doing the right thing carrying on. As the others say take your run steady & as slow as you need. Remember how far you've come.

Have completed r1 & r2 of wk4. Found the first run so difficult - the last 5 min block was a killer and I was practically crawling by the end! However, I pushed through and made it still standing (just!). Was dreading r2 but surprisingly felt better at the end of it. Was still hard but I think it's a mental battle as well as a fitness battle. Keep going.....we can do it!

I'm gearing up for week 5 now too.

Week 4 was tougher but manageable if I kept my pace slow and consistent.

I'm sure as the bigger runs kick in next week it will feel tough too but we are progressing through this.

Positive mental attitude and all that! We can do this!

Thanks for all the positive replies! i just finished the last run in week four and i actually enjoyed it, I think i had more of a mental block than a physical one. looking forward to starting week 5, after a well deserved rest day! :-)
