W3r1 today...and I have sore throat!

I have been alternately nervous and excited about w3 having really enjoyed the previous two weeks. So totally gutted to wake up this morning with a sore throat.

I haven't missed a day yet and really don't want to- is running today a bad idea?

Know how you feel as I did W2R3 yesterday while not feeling at my best. I don't think I would have run if I'd actually felt ill, but it was definitely harder for not being 100% and (for the first time) I can feel it in my legs this morning. Although everyone says to accept there are good runs and bad runs, it's important to listen to your body an act accordingly - and only you know how you feel compared to normal. Sorry, that probably doesn't help much does it!! Good luck with W3R1 whether you do it today or in a day or so ....

A few weeks ago I went out feeling like you. My body cut the run short and I took few days off on advise from the lovely people here. I am back in the swing of things now. I think if you push yourself too hard when your body doesn't feel like it, it can take you longer to get over things. I have come to the conclusion. Listening to your body is the best advice. Feel well soon.

I did it! not the best i've done in terms of pace though...!

I haven't missed a run yet despite pouring rain and blazing sun so I figured I wanted to at least try and if I really wasn't able I would stop. But I was able to do it without too much trouble, although on the first 3min I had some worrying knee twinges - any tips for this? I used to do lots of yoga so thinking about doing that on my rest days..?

glad I went. Makes run 2 seem much less intimidating. Hopefully I will shake the sore throat by then.

Hey, well done! Hope you manage to shake off whatever's bothering you in time for run 2.

Did W3R1 this morning, and it was OK! Don't know why I was so scared of it! I can certainly feel that I've progressed from W1R1, and that's a good feeling!
