Hi everyone, I've managed to, somehow, scratch/crack the screen of my Garmin 310. I'm thinking of upgrading my phone to an iphone next month, but really want either an app that will give me distance alerts, or can anyone recommend a replacement GPS watch?
Thanks!

Well I wouldn't substitute a GPS watch with an iPhone. I've used both and the watch is much easier to check pace, distance mid run than an iPhone. I do use my iPhone on runs to listen to my music and interval run instructions but still have my Garmin on my wrist for instant feedback x
Just noticed the Garmin 210 & 110 are still available, try to avoid them at all cost. My 210 used to go zombie and you'd never know if it would work for a run (common apparently), my mates 110 is really bad at locking on to satellites.
I've been using Endomondo on a Samsung Galaxy. just the free verskion which gives me a map of the track, a voice read out of pace every km and a calendar records of runs. Quite happy at that basic level and would carry a phone anyway.
I also have a y-fumble arm pocket to put my phine in which I really like.
i also have the nike app on my ipod, its a great app, i also use emdomondo on my phone when im out cycling and have had no probs with that either, i log on when i get home on the pc and the data is there, have recently upgraded to the bought app, well worth the money its only a couple of quid.
I downloaded the runmeter app and I cannot work out how to use it at all. I must be unusually thick....I'm far enough into the programme to want to know stuff - plus I cannot bear Laura's music. However finding an app which is usable is beyond me!!
I tried using Runmeter and MapmyRun and neither held the signal all the way and I never got a complete map and stats of any run.
I bought a Garmin Forerunner 10 and it has worked from the off.
Though if you run in an area with a good signal (GPS) I would advise that you try two or three of the free apps first - cause if one of those worked for you it would save you a few quid.
