Lidl running gear. Nice stuff - shame about the sizes...

This is the second time I've bought Lidl running gear (which I actually quite like!) but have had to return. The first was leggings, which looked great but were too small. Of course, when I returned them they'd sold out of the Medium!

So, yesterday, I remembered that it was Running Gear Day and popped in on my way past and decided to get a long sleeved top and some rather fancy gloves. The tops were 10/12 or 14/16. Well, I'm about a small 12 so thought 10/12 would be fine but although the fit was okay, the underarms were very tight. Ah well, the store is not too far and as I'm concentrating on walking at the mo because I'm not sure I should be running, it made part of a good route for another brisk walk.

Changed the Small for a Medium, no problem. Got just in, tried it on.....and blow me, it's exactly the same size as the Small!! So, dilemma is - should I try a Large and hope that it's not 'Large' or have I just been unlucky, and Medium is generally a slightly larger size. I don't need it much bigger, just with a little more room.

If only they had somewhere to try stuff on! ;-)

That sounds to me as if its been miss-sized, take it back but ask a member of staff to check another M for you against that one. I'm a 10-12 but broad across my back from all the years I was a swimmer, their 10-12 fits me fine for most things but I don't like tops too tight so opt for medium which is 14-16 usually and it fits fine. Having said all that I didn't buy any running clothes this time so not sure about their sizing.

If I can get back tomorrow, I'll re-check the Medium size, Oldgirl - it's a good idea to see if I can find a member of staff, just so as they know I'm not up to no good!

I'm quite small but prefer things not to be too tight, so tend to go for Medium sizes usually but the Small seemed fine and would have been except for the underarms, which is a shame.

Somebody mentioned on an earlier post about the sizing. So I tried mine on quickly. I had bought the medium 14/16 whereas I'm wearing 12 on top currently. The top was fine but I couldn't do up the rain jacket. Went back to buy a small men's but they only had a medium. Can report the apart from being a little long in the arms the men's 38/40 fits fine.

Yes, I'm annoyed too - I went yesterday and bought the large ladies' jacket. It says for a size 18 - 20 and I reckon I'm currently a size 17 at the mo :D but dang me I couldn't even get it within two inches of fastening! So I will return it and not bother even trying the mens' on. Because I am sulking.
