I did a slow - well very slow run tonight after work. Breathing was fine and was up for it mentally but half way through the ball of my left foot started hurting, it felt like it was really hot. I carried on but limped the cool down walk. Has anyone got an idea as to what happened and how I can prevent it happening again?

Let it rest for a couple of days before you try again, if it hurts after that see your doc. You could be running to fast, it it could just be one of those things. We all get niggles from time to time.

Thanks for the advice. Will give it a rest and go to work in flat shoes tomorrow.
