Hi there! This is my first post and the reason for it to be right now is a sinple one. I've done 2nd weeks 1st run and I managed well (I usualy run in a threadmill at a gym); today I run in a threadmill too, but in a diferent gym, it was so hot inside there that I couldn't manage to end the run (I couldn't breath). I don't know what to do, I cant run outside because of the landscape around here and I can't go back to the other gym because I've moved to another city.

Could you give me any advice tips?

(Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker)

Thanks in advance,

Hi Rakel & welcome to the forum.

If it is very hot in the gym, maybe have a bottle of water with you and take a drink in the walking sections. Also, don't try to run too fast or you will get out of breath more quickly.

You will find your body gets used to the heat & as you get fitter you will be able to manage better.

Good luck!

Hi

The gym I go to gets very hot too as it's in a conservatory at the local swimming pool. I manage by taking cold water, wearing baggy tops and when it's really hot I listen to my body and do as much as I can, but walk it out when I need to. I also try and go in the mornings before it has got too hot. It might also be worth speaking to the gym management because other people must be suffering too if it's that bad.
