Can anyone give me any tips for times to do it and things? my main thing is when to fit it in, I'm enrolling back at uni in a couple of weeks too so that's one evening out of non run days
Is anyone doing the strength and flexibility a... - Couch to 5K
Is anyone doing the strength and flexibility alongside c25k?
Its not always easy to find the time but try S&F on the days you aren't running.
If you run every other day then that still gives you a 7th day to catch up if you miss one.
As far as time of day is concerned, up to you but evenings are good for me or you could go for a stretch at lunch to break up the day.
Good luck.
I do S & F on non-running days. I find them excellent.
Not the NHS but I do try to do other strength & flexibility exercises 2-3 times a week. The benefit of them is not always obvious when you first start so may not seem worth finding the time but personally I've found they've made a huge difference to my flexibility and speed of recovery so well worth the effort.
Thanks guys, I've decided not to stress over trying to fit in the nhs strength and flex and perhaps do some of my yogalates DVD when I can on rest days, it should have the same effect?
Hi, I do Pilates twice a week inbetween my 3 runs. I have never felt stiff or sore after running, and I am fairly new to both activities. I don't find that the two interfere with each other, they seem to complement each other.
Other people have commented that my shape is changing, although I can't really tell yet?!
Good luck with your DVD, you will be fine
