Week5 run1...

I started wk 5 this morning and it has been my most 'sense of achievement' type week so far, after week 4 I wondered how it was going to be, and when Laura went through the session and said that there's 5 minutes of running I panicked while doing my brisk walk and wandered whether I'll be able to do it.

Quite the contrary, on the first run I ended up being in such a rhythm I lost myself in my thoughts and sort of forgot I was actually running!! I like that! As someone who had a heart procedure last November and couldn't run a minute this is pretty good!

Has anyone else found themselves toning up at this stage? Clothes are fitting differently and I'm feeling physically different! Also, can you loose weight doing this? Someone said to me you can't running but I feel like I might be, my diet has naturally changed anyway.

Sorry I didn't mean it to be an essay!!

Well done, yes it's a great feeling when you forget you are running and just get lost in the moment.

Yes, I've toned up enormously and have had to invest in running gear in a smaller size! I started noticing a difference around W5 as well.

I definitely enjoyed week 5. Couldn't tell you about the losing weight as I was on a diet anyway. Though saying that, my weight loss did become a bit more consistent but I definitely noticed that my trousers became bigger. (Daft statement I know as they obviously stayed the same & I changed but have you ever noticed how we say "my trousers have become too small" & never "I have become too big". Good luck with the rest of the week.

Week 5 is a real breakthrough week. The twenty minute run gives you so much belief in your own abilities. You sound like you have got the addiction along with the rest of us. Your awareness of your body is heightened as a runner and you will probably alter your diet accordingly. It is such an exciting journey and you are well on the way. Good luck.

Thank you IannodaTruffe!

I am still eating mostly the same things just the amount is changing I think, or perhaps that's just as gradual!

I am currently working out when and how I can fit in the strength and flex podcasts into already busy weeks!
