Woo hoo....!!!!

Well I got out at 7.45 am ( French time!) so nice and early .....well,for me anyway...to avoid the heat.I didn't need the alarm this morning, I woke just after six o'clock and felt a bit nervous really. I know it's not graduation, but it feels like quite a big milestone this W5 R3 .

I did it !!! ...... I ran "the twenty" .....didn't collapse or nuffink :)

I started quite sedately, didn't want to run out of puff. First 5 minutes were a bit tough,as usual, then it seemed like no time before Laura announced the halfway point. At 15 minutes I could relax a bit as I knew by then I'd managed to keep a little in reserve and actually was able to up the pace a bit for the last 3 or 4 minutes. Woo hoo...I did it without collapsing ! What a great feeling, I think it's stayed with me all day !

Thankyou to everyone who has left lovely supportive comments and advice, you really helped to spur me on today.

So far,no real aches or anything and knees still feel ticketyboo, though come tomorrow ....time will tell.

It's early evening now and just enjoying a nice cold celebratory beer ....so cheers m' dears.Happy weekend everyone x

Hi native star ,yes it is a big one -seems like a big leap in progress to get this one over and done,so I feel really happy that I coped with it and am looking forward to W6 now.Can hardly believe I'm at W6 on Monday...just one drawback of all this (probably the only one) the weeks come round so fast it's making the summer fly by !

Thankyou for your reply.Happy weekend !

Well done Carolecal, fantastic going! Got to say, I am dreading doing twenty minutes but I will get there too I know.

Onto week 6 you go!

Thankyou squaremum ! I'd it's any consolation, actually doing it was a lot better than thinking about it.

I'm just back from walking the same route, with husband and ' stepdog',so I could pick up all the fallen branches strewn across " my track"(!) which had been brought down in last week's storms, plus a few more from last night's.

I had intended doing this days ago, before attempting the 'dreaded twenty',but didn't get round to it...and had rather hoped the local farmers might have done it,when they shifted the fallen trees . So when I did this week's runs it was more like hurdling in places! I like to make things difficult for myself..haha :)

Did you get R2done today ?

Oh dear, a 20-minute run with added hurdling! Congrats again then. Yes, I did R2 yesterday afternoon, with added children, as they decided to come with me at the last minute. They did really well actually, but I'm not sure if they want to come again!
