This has got to be the worst week so far for music. My question? Does it get any better?
Week 4 music: This has got to be the worst week... - Couch to 5K
Week 4 music
Week 7 was the worst for me... Some new songs appear in the following weeks, some disappear but in general it stays the same Wait until you hear the story about "You and Julie"!
I don't know a Julie and I've never been running with her anyway
I totally agree with the week 7 and Julie comment lol
i can foresee a wry smile when it comes on at week 7 (should I get there of course) lol
You will meet Julie soon enough. And she'll be in your mind all day long
I have cringed at that hip-hop type one about 'everybody wanna live my life, but they can't, I'M THE KING BABEEEEE', I was glad when it didn't crop up in week 6. There was a nice classical violin piece in Week 5, though, towards the end of each run.
Are these up and coming bands that are cheap to hire for the podcast i wonder? Don't recognise any of them. Quite liked the quirky one from week 3, take a little piece, give a little back', not sure who it was
There's the Indie Tuba one I really liked in week 5 I think - but it went no where. And I dread the one which sounds like a news into because it usually means that theres a long period of running comming.
And the "it's so easy now" lyric makes me want to both kill things and vomit. Seriously?
The other day treadmills and gym died half way through my second 10 min run on week 6 run 2. Once they were up and running again I did a fast 5 mins (just so I could feel like the run wasn't wasted.) Whapped a 5 min track of my own on - and those 5 mins went well faster. youtube.com/watch?v=CcNo07X... I think it's the half decent beat which made the different, or maybe knowing the lyrics so knowing how much longer until 5 mins was up, or maybe the FUCK YOU to the person who made me feel like shite. I don't know, but that tracks works wonders for me when doing some cardio.
Ah, julie. I remember her well! Hubbie and I used to while away the time by spotting who they were supposed to "sound like" : Howard jones, Sophie Ellis Baxter , Lionel Richie, eninem and so on- we found it took our minds off the running! But no, does not get better!
there's one on week 4 about middle of routine which the tune sounds so much like 'wouldn't it be good' by nik kershaw; though it was that at first, and was somewhat disappointed.
I loved Julie, put a spring in my week 9 warm up
