Not sure if my trainers are too tight, but finding on the longer runs that I'm getting pins and needles in my toes towards the end of the run. Anyone know what causes it?

Pins and needles in my toes?

Oooh great question, I have the same problem, thought it was down to tight trainers but even when I do them up loosely it still happens and can be so bad my toes go numb! Look forward to the answers x

I always found I got pins and needles and/or numbness in toes if the laces were too tight over the high arch part of my shoe/foot. The only other thing could be dehydration making your feet swell, try drinking some water before you go out or on longer runs take some with you.

I always get pins and needles in my left foot when running the first 5 mins I really have to push myself to tell myself it's okay and it will stop after first 5 minuets not sure about end of 'longer' runs I've only managed 5k so far!

I too have this problem but found when I moved onto stepping stones and Laura was continually reminding me to keep my head up and shoulders down etc it isn't as bad possibly could be related to your posture when running?
